IMO they were bad enough with 2 missile launchers, but the new dev blog makes it sound like they'll have 4 after the update. Gallente ships don't need missiles, it's too ungallente. I really hope CCP will reconsider this change. Gallente ships need more missiles like caldari ships need more blasters or artys. It's only a few hundred thousand ISK to get caldari frigates, from there people can specialize in missiles if they want to.
If you want to tweak the tristan, it can stay 2 guns and 2 missiles and be a sniper/light missile ship or blasters n rockets. I'd suggest making it a 4 gun frigate or blasters and smart bombs for something different.
All I hear is goons this and goons that, it's like you people are the villiagers from goons village. |

Still, if gallente are getting a missile ship, why aren't they getting a laser ship and a gun ship, and why aren't the caldari for that matter? Why don't the minmatar get laser and blaster ships? Why don't the amarr get gun and blaster ships? Why don't the caldari or minmatar get drone ships?
I kinda feel like the gallente got singled out on this one.

The thing is, gallente have drones instead of missiles. Our training queues tend to focus on hybrids and drones. For the other races, they might put enough into drones to field a full flight once they get into bigger ships, their races don't specialize in them as much as ours do. No one chooses gallente thinking: imma gonna fire missiles.
Look at some of our best ships:
Vexor
Ishtar
Myrmidon
Dominix
They are all drone ships.
